this was very epic, i love the artsty;e

For Mac users, I had to use the Unarchiver to get the app to run. Unzipping the file with the native zip utility caused a bunch of errors. After you unzip it, right click on the app to run it to get past Apple's paternalistic permissions "warning" you about running software that's "cool"

This was really cute! I love the font you used in this too!

hell cyeah. good job for making a visual novel this is cute and endearing

download was longer than the game, could have been a novella and not much would have changed in terms of the experience

also, footnotes could have been put in the game (why not use more the VN medium?) through tooltips for example

I unfortunately found this story a bit too relatable ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;) ...

...absolutely loving your foray into gamedev btw!! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧

cute game and the story telling is very you. Hope to see more visual novels!

Cool game, but 7z kinda messes up the file permissions on Linux, so permission denied error occurs when trying to execute python. I found a way to fix this: just go to lib/py3-linux-x86_64/ and run the following:

chmod +x python pythonw sleepygirl zsync zsyncmake librenpython.so

Thank you!

PS: maybe consider making tar.gz archive for linux?

This was a great first VN. Very cute art & music, and the concept is very simple but effective, I like the use of the format of a visual novel to tell a short autobiographical vignette. The ending is a little bit abrupt, but not in a way that harms the overall narrative - I just think a cut straight to the title screen can be a little jarring.

I'm a big fan of the footnotes, I can see a mechanic like this being expanded into a game where a central narrative mechanic is flipping between the game and a compendium of footnotes and / or commentary, à la Pale Fire.
